Why a site about prayer?

The purpose of this site is to encourage us to each go deeper in our prayer life. One way that we do that is by praying together. Another way we do that is by praying individually yet collectively on the same prayer themes. Our hope is that as we share prayers and reflect on them and pray over them at the same time in our individual lives, the Holy Spirit will speak to each of us and allow us to encourage and edify one another in prayer.

Prayer of Confession

Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done,
and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We are truly sorry
and we humbly repent,
for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us
and forgive us;
that we may delight in your will,
and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name.

From the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer

  1. Abba, I confess my sins to you - for things I have done and for things I have left undone. Pour out your mercy on me through Jesus. Thank you for His cruciform life and death. I delight to walk in your will and way. Amen.

  2. Jesus you came with mercy and forgiveness, hallelujah! I receive you. Amen.

  3. I humbly repent. I sin against you perpetually. Father forgive me. Amen.

  4. I confess. What I have done and left undone. Grant me mercy that I may delight in your will and walk in your ways to the glory of your name. Amen.

  5. Father, I have sinned, I continue to sin, you are endlessly patient and forgiving. Thank you for salvation through your son, my savior, Jesus. I bow before him and lift his name in adoration, that you Father may be glorified. Amazing, you are amazing. Amen

  6. I desire to love with my whole heart. Lead me. Guide me. Help me to receive and walk in your unending mercy. Amen.

  7. I confess my sins. I humbly repent. I receive your mercy and grace. Thank you Abba. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Spirit. Amen.

  8. Most merciful God,
    for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
    have mercy on me
    and forgive me;
    that I may delight in your will,
    and walk in your ways.

  9. Lord, thank you that your mercy and forgiveness are always available to me. I need them every moment. Amen

  10. I confess. I repent. Thank you for the freedom that confession and repentance bring, because of the unlimited and abundant grace and mercy of you, the beautiful Triune God.

  11. Every moment I confess, repent, and cast off all that hinders. I empty myself through your gift of forgiveness and receive the richest gift of grace... your Son himself, Jesus! How precious is your love Abba, how precious! Amen
