Why a site about prayer?

The purpose of this site is to encourage us to each go deeper in our prayer life. One way that we do that is by praying together. Another way we do that is by praying individually yet collectively on the same prayer themes. Our hope is that as we share prayers and reflect on them and pray over them at the same time in our individual lives, the Holy Spirit will speak to each of us and allow us to encourage and edify one another in prayer.

Simple Prayer of Faith

From the chapter 11 of the book "Unstoppable" by Christine Caine

Lord, even if I cannot see you, I hope in you and trust you.

Hebrews 6:19-20 says, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf."

  1. This is a simple breath prayer that I want to make part of my default in times of fear or trial. i love the simple truth of this declaration: even if I cannot see you, I hope in you and trust you. May this come to my lips and mind frequently in the future.

  2. Two verses came to my mind immediately
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.””‭John‬ ‭20:29‬ ‭NIV‬‬
Faith. Jesus ignite my faith when I cannot see you. Amen

  4. This prayer is very timely for me this week. Needing to rest in complete trust of the Father. Finding that I need to shift sometimes how I open it to address God. Sometimes praying to Him as Lord, other times Jesus, Holy Spirit or today, as Father.

Abba Father, even if I cannot see you, I hope in you and trust you.

  5. Holy One, you are worthy of my hope and trust. Thank you for your unfailing patience and tenderness when I do not hope and trust in you. You never leave. I am grateful... How I need you!!! Amen
