Why a site about prayer?

The purpose of this site is to encourage us to each go deeper in our prayer life. One way that we do that is by praying together. Another way we do that is by praying individually yet collectively on the same prayer themes. Our hope is that as we share prayers and reflect on them and pray over them at the same time in our individual lives, the Holy Spirit will speak to each of us and allow us to encourage and edify one another in prayer.

Multiply Your Mercy

O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

    1. 8 To you, Lord, I called;
      to the Lord I cried for mercy:
      9 “What is gained if I am silenced,
      if I go down to the pit?
      Will the dust praise you?
      Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
      10 Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me;
      Lord, be my help.”

  3. Thank you for your mercy and forgiveness. You make all things right. Take from us the hurts that continue to hold us in captivity and torture our spirit, souls and bodies. Our secrets, even those we hide from ourselves. Lord cleanse us, free us. Keep the enemy far from us. You are our only hope and we praise you, because we know you love us in spite of our stains.
    Our Father who art in heaven
    hallowed be thy name
    Thy kingdom come
    Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
    Give us this day our daily bread
    Forgive our debts as we forgive our debtors
    Lead us not into temptation
    But deliver us from evil
    For yours is
    The kingdom and
    The power and
    The glory
    Forever and ever
    Amen

      Morning

      His mercy is on those who fear Him.

      Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
      If you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear. § The Lord is near to all who call upon Him … in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.
      “Because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the Lord … and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the Lord. § On this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word. § The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.
