Why a site about prayer?

The purpose of this site is to encourage us to each go deeper in our prayer life. One way that we do that is by praying together. Another way we do that is by praying individually yet collectively on the same prayer themes. Our hope is that as we share prayers and reflect on them and pray over them at the same time in our individual lives, the Holy Spirit will speak to each of us and allow us to encourage and edify one another in prayer.

Prayer of Belief

Daily entry for September 16 in "Praying God's Word Day by Day" by Beth Moore

Beth opens: BELIEVE HIM. BELIEVE HE CAN DO WHAT HE SAYS HE CAN DO. AND BELIEVE ALSO THAT YOU CAN DO WHAT HE SAYS YOU CAN DO.

Prayer:

Lord God, when I was dead in my sins and in the uncircumcision of my sinful nature, You made me alive with Christ. You forgave me all my sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against me and that stood opposed to me; You took it away, nailing it to Christ's cross.

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, You made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Col. 2: 13-15).

You, my God, made Your Son, Jesus Christ, who had no sin, to be sin for me, so that in Him I might become the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5: 21).

  1. I believe you, God.

God is who he says he is. God can do what he says he can do. I am who God says I am. I can do all things through Christ. God's word is alive and active in me. I'm believing God!

  3. You, Jesus, have disarmed the powers and authorities. You, Jesus, made a public spectacle of them on the cross. You, Jesus, bore the shame, our shame, on that cross. You have made possible victory! By you, therefore, we have received victory. Thank you Jesus. I believe. I believe. I believe. I believe.

  5. Oh God, this morning I believe it so that I may receive it all. Even saying, "it's too good to be true" contains a sliver of doubt. It IS too good, it IS beyond what we can comprehend and far beyond anything we see with our eyes on earth, BUT it's absolutely true. I believe it and I run to you!!! You want to give it all to me afresh today, you invite me to live again in your love today, to shower me with blessings and grace today. I'm coming, Father, I'm running!! I believe you!

  7. “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:4-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

You took it all. Everything. You bore it all. I believe you. I thank you. I worship you. Amen.

  8. I desire a life solely in you Jesus.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

  9. God, thank you that the position of "in Him" even exists. Thank you for making a way and inviting us in, into yourself, into your love. In. In. In. Jesus, in you. Deep in you, it's all I want.
