Why a site about prayer?

The purpose of this site is to encourage us to each go deeper in our prayer life. One way that we do that is by praying together. Another way we do that is by praying individually yet collectively on the same prayer themes. Our hope is that as we share prayers and reflect on them and pray over them at the same time in our individual lives, the Holy Spirit will speak to each of us and allow us to encourage and edify one another in prayer.

Savor

"Father, give me eyes to see the glory of the moments you are living in. Teach me to slow down and breathe you in. I ask for a new perspective on life and love and joy. I ask for a newness in my heart to really live life and enjoy the privilege of the air in my lungs and life in my soul. You are the Giver of Life and I thank you in this moment for giving me the gift of life. I ask, God, that you help me to not waste it with empty busyness and clutter of the soul. Come in my heart and make space. Space for stillness. Space for joy. Space for laughter. Space for life. I receive the remodeling of my inner space...make room Holy Spirit, room for you. Show me the beauty of the seasons and help me to see, truly see."

    Eyes to see, Abba. Help me to see and savor. Remodel my inner space so there is plenty of space. Space for stillness. Joy. Laugher. Space for you, Holy Spirit. I want to slow down. I want to breathe you in. I want the reality of a deep and slow life, drinking in your glory in the mundane. Help me, Lord. Help me to savor.

    Help me slow down. Slow down. Rest. Relax. Contemplate. Reflect on your beauty. Cherish this life. You are the Giver of Life. A new perspective. A newness of heart. Make room in my heart. I long to declutter my soul - and my physical life. Grant me the strength to make this happen. Help me to do the work you call me to do so that this newness, this uncluttering, can be a reality. You are faithful and I worship you. Amen.
