Why a site about prayer?

The purpose of this site is to encourage us to each go deeper in our prayer life. One way that we do that is by praying together. Another way we do that is by praying individually yet collectively on the same prayer themes. Our hope is that as we share prayers and reflect on them and pray over them at the same time in our individual lives, the Holy Spirit will speak to each of us and allow us to encourage and edify one another in prayer.

    Jesus, it is all about you. I surrender to you alone. You are holy. You are worthy. You are good and pure. You are true and right. It is not about me. In any way. Humble me, bring me to my knees, you must become greater in my life as I become less. Amen.

    Jesus, you are everything! Thank you for shaming the shame. Thank you that for the joy set before you, you endured the cross, scorning its shame. Thank you that you trusted in the Father and Spirit when you were separated from them. Thank you that you are now victoriously standing on the throne, ruling with power over all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You, Jesus, are everything to me! Oh how I adore you. You are so worthy. Amen.

    Lord Jesus, I pray this first part above and it just seems natural to keep going, and my heart keeps singing the second part:

    Jesus, lover of my soul
    All consuming fire is in Your gaze
