Why a site about prayer?

The purpose of this site is to encourage us to each go deeper in our prayer life. One way that we do that is by praying together. Another way we do that is by praying individually yet collectively on the same prayer themes. Our hope is that as we share prayers and reflect on them and pray over them at the same time in our individual lives, the Holy Spirit will speak to each of us and allow us to encourage and edify one another in prayer.

Prayer for Pardon

Almighty God, who does freely pardon all who repent and turn to Him, now fulfill in every contrite heart the promise of redeeming grace; forgiving all our sins, and cleansing us from an evil conscience; through the perfect sacrifice of Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

  5. Isa 59:20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion,
to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,”
    declares the Lord.
21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the Lord.

My sin is ever before me, I am guilty, Lord forgive me and cleanse me again. Cleanse my heart, make right my spirit. I am unworthy, yet you love me. I fall on your mercy and grace and are saved. Thank you Jesus. Amen

  8. As I was just writing an email that I know you prompted me to write weeks ago, I was reminded of your grace. I repent, Lord, for the ways I delay even when I hear you. I confess my deep need of your mercy. And I accept that you freely give it because you are good. Being washed in confession this week through this prayer of pardon has been so vital for me, Jesus. Thank you for willingly giving up your life that this grace might be available to me and all who believe in you. I worship you Father, Son, Spirit.

    1. “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the LORD does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.”

  12. You freely pardon all who repent and turn. Thank you Jesus for the power you demonstrated in staying on the cross, for creating the space and the way for true pardon to occur. You are truth and I worship you this morning with all my heart. I am a sinner in need of your pardon. You are a generous God who freely gives. Abba, thank you for your goodness to me. Amen.

  14. “The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.” -‭‭Psalm‬ ‭6:9‬

Thank you, Lord, that you accept my prayer. I repent of all my sin. Known and unknown. Thank you that you hear my cry for mercy. Jesus, you are worthy. Abba, thank you for the mercy that you show. It is undeserved favor. But yet it is such welcome grace. Holy Spirit, thank you for covering me, thank you for filling me, thank you for being with me every minute. Jesus, you are beautiful and I adore you. I long to love you with all my heart. Thank you for the gift of salvation and the gift of eternal life. And thank you that those aren't future things - thank you that they have already begun on this earth. I love you Lord with all my heart. Amen.

  15. Father, thank you for your free pardon and your fresh starts. Holy Spirit, I need you! I confess my sin, my unkind and frustrated spirit towards my kids, my daily surrender to irritation and weariness lately, my resorting to my own strength and survival mode which results in sin and my flesh raging. Forgive me for choosing these things in the moment instead of choosing to depend on you. Forgive me, cleanse me. I cry to you for help. Lift me out of my funk. Let me trust your love for me and leave shame a guilt with yesterday's sins. Today is new. My Father loves me. All things are mine in Jesus. The Holy Spirit will indeed help me today. I worship you, my God. You are closer than my breath and stronger than my heart. You search me and know me and you fight my battles! I hide myself in you this morning and watch for my victory! Hallelujah, Jesus saves! Amen.
